Amsterdam is not all just party, red lights, and coffee shops. The city also has a traditional Hammam, or a Turkish bath, starting with relaxation in a room (known as the warm room) that is heated by a continuous flow of hot, dry air, allowing the bather to perspire freely. Bathers may then move to an even hotter room (known as the hot room) before they wash in cold water. After performing a full body wash and receiving a massage, bathers finally retire to the cooling-room for a period of relaxation.
As a way to relax after a hard night, or before one; this is maybe the best thing that the city has to offer with its many special facilities and opportunities to totally relax your bodies. Hundred and thousand years of tradition makes them a home to spa treatments that you can even touch the benefits afterwards.
